PM Modi to Visit Pune Today, to be Conferred with Lokmanya Tilak National Award
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Pune today, August 1, 2023. He will be conferred with the Lokmanya Tilak National Award at a function at the Tilak Smarak in Pune. The award is given to individuals who have made significant contributions to the fields of social work, education, and public service.
After receiving the award, PM Modi will flag off metro trains on two extended routes in Pune. The two routes are from Phugewadi station to Civil Court station and Garware College station to Ruby Hall Clinic station. The metro project in Pune is being implemented by the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC).
PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone of various development projects in Pune. These projects include a waste-to-energy plant, a water treatment plant, and a housing project.

Here are the traffic diversions that will be in place during PM Modi’s visit to Pune:
- The Tilak Smarak will be closed to the public from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
- The roads leading to the Tilak Smarak will be closed to traffic from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM.
- The roads leading to the metro stations will be closed to traffic from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM.
The public is requested to cooperate with the traffic police and follow the instructions given by them.
