Man Suffers Serious Eye Injury During Car Towing Incident in Pune

Pune News :A complaint has been registered at the Dighi police station against four unidentified individuals after a man was severely injured in his right eye during a towing operation. The incident took place on July 25, 2025, at approximately 3:25 AM, in front of the HDFC Bank near Charholi Phata, Pune.

The First Information Report (FIR), registered on August 4, 2025, at 6:19 PM, was filed by Shubham Magardhwaj Biradar, a 28-year-old medical professional residing in Bhosari, Pune.

According to Biradar, his car, bearing license plate MH 14 GV 3112, was being towed by a crane with registration number MH 03 CD 1197. As he attempted to stop them, the four individuals, two on the crane and two on the ground, allegedly continued to tow the vehicle in a negligent and careless manner.

During the process, the tip of a rod used for lifting the car struck Biradar’s right eyeball and the area below it, causing a serious injury. The accused have been booked under Section 125(B) of the BNS. No arrests have been made yet, and the Dighi police are investigating the matter.
