Pune Man Falls Victim to Online Mobile Phone Scam (Mundhwa Police Investigating)
Pune: A resident of Keshavnagar, Mundhwa, Pune, Isam (24), has filed a complaint with the Mundhwa Police Station (Po.St. Guru no. Clause 183/2024) alleging he was cheated online in a mobile phone purchase. The case falls under Sections 419 (Cheating by personation), 420 (Cheating), and 34 (Acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), along with Section 66(c) and (d) of the Information Technology Act (IT Act) which deal with computer-related offenses.
