Pune: A man was allegedly assaulted in Bavdhan, Pune, over a disagreement related to gossip. The incident took place on August 13, 2025, around 10:30 PM, at the Sailila Properties office, located next to Mauli Pan Tappari.
The victim, 32-year-old Abhijeet Dattatray Ainpure, a resident of Kothrud, Pune, and the owner of the property office, was at his workplace when the accused, Atul V. Keswad, aged 35, a resident of Bavdhan, approached him. According to the police complaint, Keswad confronted Ainpure about what Ainpure had allegedly said about him to a friend.
The argument quickly escalated when Keswad called Ainpure outside the office. The accused then allegedly used his belt to hit Ainpure four to five times, causing a wound on Ainpure’s forehead. The complaint was filed the following day, on August 14, 2025, at 12:55 PM.
A case has been registered at the Bavdhan Police Station under Case No. 376/2025 under Section 118(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
