Pune Crime News: Attempt to Murder Over Verbal Abuse in Narhe, Man Attacks Roommate with Weapon
Pune Crime News : A shocking case of attempted murder in Pune has been reported from the Narhe area under the jurisdiction of Sinhgad Road Police Station. The incident occurred on the night of April 4, 2025, around 10:45 PM, at a rented room in Zolo Pinnacle, a residential complex in Narhe.
According to the police complaint (FIR No. 182/2025), an argument broke out between two men living in the same room. The dispute reportedly began after verbal abuse involving the accused’s mother and sister.
In a fit of rage, the 40-year-old accused, who is currently absconding, allegedly attacked the victim with a sharp weapon, inflicting severe injuries to his neck.
The Sinhgad Road Police have registered a case under IPC Sections 109 and 352 for criminal intimidation and assault.
The accused is yet to be arrested.
The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital and is said to be in critical condition.
Police Inspector Sanjay Narlay is currently handling the investigation. Authorities have launched a manhunt to trace the accused.
The incident has sparked concern among local residents regarding safety in shared accommodations like Zolo homes. Many are urging landlords and agencies to conduct stricter background checks before renting out rooms.
