Pune PMPML Bus Incident: 56-Year-Old Man Dies After Reckless Driving at Hadapsar Bus Stand

Hadapsar, Pune – A tragic accident was reported on 30th April 2025 at around 6:30 PM, when a PMPML bus driver, allegedly driving recklessly and at high speed, ran over a 56-year-old man at the Hadapsar Bus Stand, leading to his death.

As per FIR No. 455/2025 registered at Hadapsar Police Station, the deceased has been identified as Prakash Rambhau Gaikwad, a resident of Maulinagar, Nalwandi Road, Beed. He was attempting to board the bus when the incident occurred.

The driver, Balasaheb Gaikwad (33), also a resident of Nalwandi Road, Beed, is employed with PMPML (Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited). He has not been arrested yet.

🛑 What Happened:

According to the police complaint, the accused driver ignored traffic norms and drove the bus carelessly and at a high speed, failing to wait while passengers were boarding. As a result, the bus moved forward suddenly, running over the left leg of Prakash Gaikwad, causing a serious fracture in the thigh. He later succumbed to the injuries.
