NEW DELHI – In a move aimed at bolstering its premium mid-range lineup, smartphone maker Vivo officially launched the Vivo V60 5G in India on Tuesday, August 12, 2025. The new device is being positioned as a sleek, camera-centric phone that combines high-end features with a commitment to long-term software support.
The V60 5G comes in a slim, elegant design with a quad-curved AMOLED display. It stands out in its segment by offering a massive 6,500mAh battery inside its thin body, a feature typically found on thicker, bulkier phones. This, coupled with 90W fast charging, means users can expect both long battery life and quick top-ups.
Camera: A Highlight with ZEISS Partnership
For photography enthusiasts, the V60 5G’s cameras are a major draw. The phone features a triple-camera setup co-engineered with ZEISS, including a 50MP main sensor with OIS, a 50MP telephoto lens with 10x zoom, and an 8MP ultrawide lens. The front-facing camera is also a high-resolution 50MP unit with autofocus, catering to the growing trend of high-quality selfies and video calls.
The camera software includes AI-powered features like an India-exclusive “Wedding vLog” mode and a “Stage” mode for enhanced portraits.
Performance and Software
Under the hood, the Vivo V60 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, a capable chipset that provides a snappy performance for everyday tasks and mobile gaming. The phone is available in several RAM and storage configurations, with the top-end variant offering 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
In a noteworthy move, Vivo has promised four years of OS updates and six years of security patches, a level of support that rivals some of the best in the industry and ensures the phone will stay relevant for a long time. It runs on FuntouchOS 15, based on the latest Android 15.
