Maharashtra Natural Gas Reduces CNG Price in Pune

Pune, Maharashtra – March 7, 2024

Maharashtra Natural Gas Ltd. (MNGL), a City Gas Distribution (CGD) company, has implemented a welcome reduction in the retail selling price of compressed natural gas (CNG) in Pune city. This price cut extends to Pimpri-Chinchwad and the neighboring areas of Chakan, Talegaon, and Hinjewadi.

The price adjustment came into effect at midnight on March 5, 2024. The revised CNG price reflects a decrease of ₹2.50 per kg, inclusive of taxes. This brings down the CNG retail selling price from ₹86.0 per kg to ₹83.50 per kg.

This move by MNGL is likely to provide some relief to motorists in Pune and surrounding areas who are grappling with high fuel prices. CNG is a cleaner burning fuel option compared to traditional petrol and diesel, and this price reduction could encourage more drivers to switch to CNG vehicles.
